Policy Directions to ComReg 2004

In accordance with Section 13 of the Communications (Regulation) Act, 2002 the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources has issued Policy Directions to the Commission for Communications Regulation, ComReg to be followed by them in the exercise of their functions.

As required by the Communications (Regulation) Act 2002 the Policy Directions were subject to public consultation.  A wide range of submissions were received on the draft Directions during this process and considered by the Minister.  Details of the public consultation process can be viewed here.
